Signs and Symptoms of Breast Cancer : An overview by Med Today

Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer related death among women. And it is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women. Approximately, one in eight females develop breast cancer.
Most early breast cancers are usually asymptomatic.
Some common signs and symptoms of breast cancer include;
1. Presence of a lump
2. Changes in breast size or shape
3. Nipple inversion
4. Dimpling of the breast skin
5. Skin texture changes
6. Ulceration
7. Spontaneous, bloody discharge from a single nipple
8. Axillary lumps
9. Orange peel appearance of the breast skin
10. Dilated breast veins

It is important to do a mammogram if a patient has one or more first degree relatives with breast cancer.
Because mammogram helps to identify early breast cancers before the symptom onset.
