Every single year the average American wastes hundreds of thousands of gallons of water on useless grass lawns.

The food we buy at grocery stores travel thousands of miles from farm to plate, losing valuable nutrients in the process, and expelling excess carbon into the atmosphere.

Health issues are increasingly being traced back to poor diets and increased consumption of processed foods.

Our farmworkers risk their lives for us, exposing themselves to life-threatening toxic chemicals to plant and harvest the food we eat.

Monoculture farming practices are leading to massive deforestation and ecological destruction.

How can this change?

What can we do to positively influence a massive industrial food system built on commodity, cheap labor, and maximum profits?

Rob Greenfield and Jeff Coco are here to offer some potential solutions and new ways of valuing our food and how it is grown.

Rob spent an entire year eating only food and medicine that he grew or foraged himself. Nothing came from a grocery store or any type of industrial food source.

Jeff worked with Fleet Farming in running and expanding an urban agriculture operation in Orlando, FL that empowers people to grow food by learning and engaging in the process. He focused on integrated pest management, and developed a system to combat bugs without harmful toxins, and incorporating nature into farming.
