In April 2019, animal rescue group Wayside Waifs decided to hold a big adoption event to try and find homes for their animals.

The event took place over 19 hours at the group’s shelter in Kansas City, Missouri. The event was a huge success—in total, 203 dogs, cats, and guinea pigs found great forever homes.

When the event ended, there was just one dog left in the shelter: a pit bull terrier mix named Kenny.
