What are the best reusable straws in 2018?
I am here to give you my take on that question!
According to EcoCycle, Americans use 500 MILLION straws EVERYDAY! How insane is that? I can't even begin to conceptualize that.
I know there has been a lot of discussion around straws and some environmentalists have said that we have bigger problems to worry about... but when you realize that we use 1 BILLION straws in two days... it starts to seem like a very serious issue that needs to be addressed.

Also, I did not want to address the discussion surrounding the controversy about individuals with certain disabilities and straws in this video because I don't think that is a topic that I am anywhere near qualified to understand. I also think it deserves more attention than a quick mention in a video.
However, I will say that I believe that people who depend on plastic straws to drink liquids should be able to attain them. However, I don't believe that companies should be required to provide them with anything for free. I am sure legislation and procedures will change as this discussion continues and I respect that some people need these items.
