How much more suffering must the child bride endure before we can say enough is enough? It’s about time drastic measures are taken to end child marriage. Stand up for our girls, unite in fighting for their right to live a dignified and fulfilling life they derserve.

Dr Agnes Babugura is an academic with a PhD in Environmental science (Social vulnerability and adaptation to climate variability and change).She has extensive experience working with national governments and international development organizations such as United Nations Development Programme, Heinrich Böll Foundation, United Nations Environmental Programme, Food and Agriculture Organization, World Bank, World Vision and International Labour Organization on various developmental issues. These include; gender and climate change, gender mainstreaming, climate change social vulnerability and adaptation, poverty and development, sustainable agricultural development and food security, gender and the green economy and project evaluation.
