HIV is the virus that leads to the development of AIDS. AIDS is a condition where the body's immune or defense system is so weakened that it can't fight off other diseases. You can't tell if someone has HIV just by looking at them. The only way to know if someone has HIV is to get an HIV test. The only way to avoid getting HIV from sex is to not have oral, anal or vaginal sex. Watch the video to learn how to reduce the risk of getting HIV.
