What do the British Public know about animal testing and cosmetics?

Understanding Animal Research headed onto the streets of London to find out what people knew about which cosmetic brands and products were tested on animals. The results were less than reassuring, almost no one we asked knew that testing cosmetics or their ingredients on animals has been illegal in the UK since 1998, and that since 2013 companies cannot import or sell products which have been tested in other countries. That means NO cosmetics sold in the UK are tested on animals.

Results of our survey: Of the 4,000+ people who answered, less than 40% were aware that cosmetics were not tested on animals.
