Water Scarcity: Our Fight Towards Clean Water for All | World Vision Australia
Access to clean water doesn’t just save lives – it keeps children in school, improves education and equality for women, and helps communities to become self-sufficient.
But globally, 780 million people still lack access to clean drinking water. Every day, over 800 children die from dirty water due to diarrhoea caused by poor water, sanitation and hygiene and scarce or unreliable water and sanitation facilities in communities around the world.
With our partners, field workers and volunteers, World Vision seeks to overcome water scarcity by providing clean water to all. For every 10 seconds, we reach one new person with clean water. In 2015, we reached 2.37 million people with clean water, more people than any other non-governmental organisation.
By 2030, we want to reach as many people possible through our work. Join us as we continue to bring clean water to people all over the world.
