Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered troops into the Ukrainian separatist regions Donesk and Luhansk after recognizing them as independent. The move has been condemned as a violation of international law and Ukraine’s territorial integrity,and is stoking fear that Europe could be poised for the biggest military confrontation since World War Two.
