Subsistence farmer in the tropics has a range of challenges . One of these challenges is the rapid loss of soil organic mater contributing to the loss of natural plant nutrients and available soil moisture. In this video I illustrate a part of my research in Eastern Guatemala . The project is being used to teach local farmers how they can improve land productivity through naturally sustainable systems agriculture.
