TAKE ACTION
In Ireland, over 3,300 children with hearing difficulties are mainstream educated with digital hearing devices and teaching supports. Sound Advice (formerly Irish Deaf Kids, IDK) is an award-winning, for-impact venture geared to technology-supported mainstream education and living for deaf children and students.
Established in Dublin during July 2007 with seed-finance from Social Entrepreneurs Ireland, Sound Advice (IDK) received Ireland’s 2010 eGovernment award (Education) for promoting cross-sector collaboration and cost-efficiency by using web technologies.
