Sgt Tom Laaser came back from Afghanistan in 2014 with severe PTSD. He attempted suicide several times. Others in his platoon also attempted suicide. The army's response was to try to force these men to accept dishonorable discharges, and to give up the benefits they'd earned. Tragically, seven men from Tom's platoon committed suicide.
