PPP EXTENDED SBA EIDL UPDATE Stimulus Disaster Relief Stimulus $10,000 EIDL Small Business Grants
With the March 31st deadline for claimants to receive PPP loans just 2 weeks away, a group of bipartisan lawmakers are looking to add 2 more months to the popular small business disaster relief program.
A group of Representatives introduced the Paycheck Protection Program Extension Act, which would push the expiration date to May 31 and give the SBA authority to continue to process pending applications for another 30 days after that.
Small Business Majority founder and CEO John Arensmeyer explained: “Many small-business owners, especially the self-employed, are just now trying to access the program for the first time, so giving small businesses more time to take advantage of an important lifeline like PPP is not only the right thing to do, it’s the necessary thing to do.”

Meanwhile, this new $1.9 trillion stimulus package offers significant financial assistance to industries across America.
Here are some of the biggest winners in this upcoming round of disaster relief funds.
The airline industry is due to receive $15 billion for an extension of Payroll Support Program grants, saving thousands of employees from being laid off.
Restaurants, bars, food trucks and other food and drink providers are now eligible for $28.6 billion in assistance through Dec. 31.
Also, live concert venues and performance spaces will get $1.25 billion for the SBA’s Shuttered Venues Operators Grants.
These disaster relief stimulus small business funds will keep hundreds of thousands of Americans employed and provide necessary fiscal support to get through this rocky year.
Finally, President Biden’s $1.9 trillion stimulus bill also contains $7.25 billion in forgivable PPP loans to eligible small businesses across America.
It also allows small business owners in lower income areas the opportunity to claim upwards of $10,000 in free grant money from the EIDL.
Plus, if you already claimed your EIDL grant but only received $1,000, you could be eligible to claim the additional $9,000 if you work in a low-income community that can show “more than 30% reduction in revenue during an 8-week period beginning on March 2, 2020, or later.”
