Mandisa Volo, a grade 7 student from Kamloops School of the Arts, won the 2019 Rotary Grade 6/7 Speech Competition in Kamloops, B.C. She won by beginning and ending with her own poetry, providing personal insights and offering some ideas to combat racial discrimination. All in less than four minutes.
