In her own words, Helen Benz tells the story of how she was diagnosed, treated and then recovered from stomach cancer, a diagnosis that took her by surprise. With the help of her surgical oncologist Waddah Al-Refaie, MD, FACS, Helen's cancer was removed with little pain and she was back to work and her active life. Helen says she is so grateful for the care she received at MedStar Georgetown because she still has so much love to give her friends and family including her children and grandchildren.
