North America's Marine Protected Areas: Discovering the Ocean's Secrets
This short film illustrates how North America's marine protected areas are living laboratories for scientists to learn about our oceans, so we can all make better decisions about their—and our—future.
This film is part of a series that highlights the diverse benefits of marine protected areas and the importance of international cooperation to protect North America's shared oceans. Marine protected areas help sustain communities and protect marine life along the coasts of Canada, Mexico and the United States.
The films were produced by the Commission for Environmental Cooperation with North America's marine protected area agencies and Coastal America's Coastal Ecosystem Learning Center Network of 24 aquariums and research facilities.
