Nashville school shooting: 3 students and 3 adults killed, police say | FULL

Nashville Police Department media relations director Don Aaron said Monday that seven people had been killed, including the suspect, in a shooting at Covenant School, Covenant Presbyterian Church.

He confirmed that three students and three adults were killed.

Aaron said the female suspect was found by police after hearing gunfire and engaged her, resulting in her being fatally shot by responding officers.

He said there were no other non-lethal gunshot victims to his knowledge. He also said it is not known who the suspect is or if she has a connection to the school.

The Covenant School has had an enrollment of about 200 students from preschool to sixth grade in recent years and was founded as a ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church in 2001, according to the school's website.
