Miami Dade Issues: Public Safety

The fundamental function of local government – the very reason it exists — is to provide police and fire rescue services to protect its residents. There is no more important role. The safety and security of our residents is the number one responsibility of the Mayor of Miami-Dade County. The current Mayor has done a woefully unsatisfactory job over the past six years and has time and time again refused to even accept responsibility for the decline in the quality of life of Miami-Dade county residents that is a direct result of his decisions and/or failure to act, let alone take action to make things right.
