Medical Update: Lobular Breast Cancer

Invasive lobular breast cancer (ILC) accounts for 10-15% of all breast cancers, with thousands of new diagnoses each year in the US. ILC looks and behaves differently than more common ductal cancers, is under-studied, and requires more clinical research. This session focuses on current standard treatments for ILC, what past research has shown works effectively for it, the research questions that remain, and ways to get involved in advancing understanding by taking part in clinical trials and research studies.
