Mapping the Arts and Culture union landscape #TWT20
Want to get a grasp on the landscape of the arts and culture workers' organising? We have commissioned an illustration mapping out the union landscape based on information given to us by union members across the arts and culture sector. This is a work in progress and something we can hopefully revisit over the years to become an increasingly valuable resource to both visualise what the hell is going on and so that people, workers, communities can better understand the purpose of the different unions, and the potential connections that could be made between them.
Watch the video, then join a live discussion on TWT's brand new online community forum between 6:30pm and 7:30pm on Saturday 5th September! Link to discussion: https://community.theworldtran....sformed.org/t/mappin
To access the forum - you will need to accept an email invite that we will have sent to your email inbox! You should have received this if you've signed up for a TWT festival pass. If you can't find this in any of your email folders (check spam!) then email us at [email protected]
Finally, we know that many of our participants will be facing precarious situations and as a result, we have compiled a set of resources on redundancy for Arts and Culture workers which signposts websites, organisations and unions to seek support from in areas such as mental health, housing and financial support. You can read the resource on the event page here: https://theworldtransformed.or....g/twt20/arts-culture
