Sir Keir Starmer has said he welcomes the Prime Minister's U-turn on free school meals, saying it was "the right thing to do" but stressing it is "just one step".
During PMQs, the Labour leader said a recent report estimates 600,000 more children are living in poverty than in 2012, and that 5.2 million children will be in poverty by 2022, estimates that were made before coronavirus hit.
Boris Johnson insisted that absolute and relative poverty have declined and called on the Labour leader to support efforts to get children back to school.
