How to avoid these silly arguments and strengthen your relationship
In every relationship, bickering and arguing is normal, to a point. However, having continuous silly arguments regarding seemingly unimportant things can really add up. Often times, the actual reason for the argument is a lack of communication and poor listening skills.
Today, we will discuss how to avoid these silly arguments and strengthen your relationship.
1. Don’t Bottle Up Your Emotions
A lot of silly arguments happen because the other person is already subconsciously upset about something else that happened previously and has bottled these emotions up. However, these emotions do not simply just go away when bottled up, they brew and fester. Eventually, they will boil over. This is why it is important to take the time to address anything that is bothering you when it occurs. Keep an open line of communication with your partner so as not to trigger a silly argument.
2. Social Networks
Social networks can be one of the biggest triggers of silly arguments. Seeing their social media posts, their friends and their communications on it can lead to misunderstanding and jealousy. The best thing to do if you see something on social media that is bothersome to you is to address it right away, in person.
3. Keep Past Problems In The Past
Most of the time, we would all like the past to stay in the past. However, we all know that our past affects our present day and future tremendously. Reliving and rearguing things that have occurred in the past will get you nowhere in your relationship. Look at the issues that are bothering you presently and look for ways to solve them. Sit down and discuss these with your partner. This will open up your communication and decrease the chances of a silly argument from developing.
