History Repeats /ICE Detention Centers Forced Sterilization

This video shares clips from other YouTube videos to highlight the issue of forced sterilization taking place in ICE detention centers. The issue of forced sterilization is a part of this country's dark history. Fannie Lou Hamer is a civil rights activist who used her platform to advocate on behalf of others as she was sterilized without her consent. I chose to use her quote as a part of my thoughtful Thursday quote. I misspelled her name because I am human and make mistakes. Nevertheless, This is why I need to slow down trying to multitask. We must understand how these issues impacting others matter regardless of “documentation status”. I just want to bring awareness to these issues so more can use their voice and platform.
