Firearm Injury Prevention and Health Care Providers

Health care providers overwhelmingly feel that talking with at-risk patients about safe firearm practices is within their clinical responsibilities, but doing so remains uncommon in practice. This video from the UC Davis Violence Prevention Research Program’s What You Can Do initiative gives an overview of trends in firearm-related harm and introduces providers to their role in preventing injuries and deaths from firearms.
