Description:
All life depends on water, yet access to clean freshwater is one of the most pressing global issues of the 21st century. About four in ten people on the earth live in areas with frequent water scarcity. Intensifying droughts, warming temperatures, groundwater depletion, pollution, population growth, poor governance, and inequitable distribution threaten to exacerbate this problem. The good news is that creative solutions are available to help ensure sufficient freshwater for people and ecosystems.
