After accepting that neither blood cancer nor losing her hair would define her, Chartese's journey to healing and survival began. Wanting to find a way to give back and under treatment herself, Chartese saw a Light The Night brochure in her doctor's office. She joined LTN, created a team, and raised almost $23,000! Today Chartese is not only involved with LTN but with several LLS campaigns. She continues to work toward finding new ways for LLS to achieve its goal of a world without blood cancers.
