More dog bites are being recorded every year - but the hundreds of dogs put down are often not the ones at fault, according to the RSPCA. It says the Dangerous Dogs Act, introduced 25 years ago, doesn't protect the public and instead results in family pets being destroyed simply because of how they look. The charity wants the focus to switch to irresponsible owners. Catherine Jones reports.
