Ask the Geriatrician - Common Oral Problems in the Frail Elderly

Sarah J. Dirks DDS started Geriatric Dental Group of South Texas, PA in 2007 after 18 years as faculty at the UTHSCSA. She has completed fellowship training in Geriatrics and served as Clinical Director of the UTHSCSA Geriatric Dental Clinic. She is a member of the Association of State and Territorial Dental Directors Healthy Aging Committee, the American Dental Association, the Texas Association of Long Term Care Facility Dentists, the Texas Dental Association, and Special Care Dentistry. Dr. Dirks lectures frequently on geriatric dentistry and is passionate about linking dentistry with mainstream health care.
