On Tuesday, December 3rd, I went to visit my childhood friend from Camp Wahconah and Potomac and to film a short video updating her condition with ALS. This disease is horrible and real for Cindy Gordon Finkelstein and I am asking for all of you to share this video within your channels to help Cindy and her family.

This story is about human kindness and empathy to help a family get through this marathon of daily struggles. Helping families with ALS directly, not just a non-profit organization is a great way to show you care.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as motor neurone disease (MND) or Lou Gehrig's disease, is a specific disease that causes the death of neurons controlling voluntary muscles. Some also use the term motor neuron disease for a group of conditions of which ALS is the most common.

ALS disease, is nerve cells break down, which reduces functionality in the muscles they supply. The cause is unknown. The main symptom is muscle weakness. Medication and therapy can slow ALS and reduce discomfort, but there's no cure.
