Adrian Grenier and the Ocean Community Make a Pledge of Protection - Good Celebrity™

While on the ground in Bali, Adrian led a discussion in front of leaders from business, foreign governments and environmental groups about the conscious consumption in our everyday lives and how we can make an effort to keep plastics out of our world's oceans. He also participated in a beach cleanup initiative to rid the waters in Bali of some of the plastics. The stat below shows why Adrian is an advocate of this.

Each year, over 10 million tons of plastic makes its way into the sea and at current rates, by 2050, plastic in the ocean will weigh more than all of the fish combined, putting intense strain on the ocean and marine life.

The Economist Events’ World Ocean Summit took place Feb. 22-24 in Bali, Indonesia, where more than 60 world business and government leaders as well as environmental advocates and scientists met to discuss how to finance a sustainable ocean economy and tackle some of the biggest threats to our world's oceans.
