Treating Endometrial Cancer: Loyola's Team Approach

Loyola Medicine physicians used a multidisciplinary team approach to treat Maria Liberty's endometrial cancer. Obstetrician gynecologist Sarah Wagner, MD, evaluated Ms. Liberty and performed a hysterectomy. Ronald Putkul, MD, chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology, staged the cancer. William Small, Jr., MD, chair of Radiation Oncology, administered targeted radiation with low toxicity. Ms. Liberty is in remission and her prognosis is excellent.
