These are still early days for Internet of Things security. Mark pegs the level of security robustness at a 5 or 6 out of 10 for consumer IoT products and for certain segments, like IoT cameras, lower. We are currently feeling the pain of IoT product makers getting creative with security methods when they aren’t qualified to do so. This will settle down and the level will rise after a few years when best practises emerge.
