Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa on Reconciliation Day 2020

This year Reconciliation Month is commemorated under the theme, "United against racism and Gender Based Violence and other intolerances".
As we celebrate Reconciliation Day, we reflect not just on racial tensions in South Africa, but also on gender issues and how gender roles are changing in this modern world.
The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture says the month should be dedicated to a National Dialogue on Racism, Reconciliation, and Gender Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF).
This, under the existing tension and Coronavirus which has exacerbated inequality in the country.
