Sex Trafficking & The Hotel Industry | Dawn McCracken, Founder of HOST - TEXAS
Welcome to the Ms. Texas Show where we showcase life in Texas and highlight amazing survivors of traumatic events, family violence, sex trafficking, sexual abuse and community leaders to share community resources.
Under our segment “Military-Time”, we invite military and veterans to share their experiences during and after their military service. We run this segment in partnership with the National Veterans Chamber of Commerce. We would like to invite those who have overcome traumatic events and would like to share and are now ready to help others.
Under our "Beauty" segment, we invite pageant winners and contestants, as well as artists (musicians, actors, models and dancers) who are ambassadors for their causes to share their lives, platforms and the impact they have made in their communities.

About Dawn:
Graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in sociology and anthropology, Dawn McCracken, is the Founder of HOST - TEXAS. Dawn married her wonderful husband, Kevin. And she was given the great privilege of being a stay at home mother and raising two wonderful daughters.
HOST is looking to identify lodging establishments that are being frequented by traffickers. Identifying the bad actors within the lodging industry will allow them to warn the consumers when a place might be high risk. Law enforcement will also be notified of which places have been identified as most concerning. As an organization, they intend to promote training for employees within the lodging industry that may make them better equipped to address sex trafficking if they encounter it.
