Poverty, Disaster Relief and International Health: Fred Gottlieb, MD at TEDxParkCity
Dr. Fred Gottlieb addresses misperceptions that affect how we view poverty, disaster relief and international health. He stresses passion, empathy and generosity of spirit.
Fred practices geriatric medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah and has participated in international disaster relief efforts. Mr. Gottlieb is a professor in the MPH programs at Westminster College and the University of Utah. He has been a Peace Corps worker and has been involved in many international medical projects.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
