In US news and current events today, the Black Lives Matter protests have continued to boil over in over 140 cities across the US. Most stories you see are of riots, looting, and police brutality, but the George Floyd protests have been predominantly peaceful, and these Black Lives Matter protesters have come up with creative ways to have their voices heard in a peaceful manner.
From the Cupid Shuffle dance to taking a knee in powerful moments of silence, peaceful protesters are simply trying to make a difference in the world and fight for racial justice, equality, and against police brutality. The BLM protests have opened the eyes of the world to injustice, and as the unrest continues, we should focus on the vast majority of peaceful protestors instead of the few bad actors trying to turn a beautiful movement into a riot.
