Partnering on wildlife management is important to protect biodiversity and livelihoods.

Millions of people around the world rely on wild meat for their food security and livelihoods, so it is critical that organizations that research, regulate or implement programmes to address wildlife issues work together to find a balance between conservation and the sustainable use of wildlife. The Collaborative Partnership on Sustainable Wildlife Management brings together all leading organizations working in that sector, said David Cooper, Deputy Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity.
