James Heckman: Inequality in Denmark vs USA
James Heckman, University of Chicago economist and co-recipient of the 2000 Prize in Economic Sciences, comments on inequality in Denmark and the USA, particularly when it comes to education and intergenerational mobility: "What people haven't understood is why has this not created a more equally skilled population and why do family origins matter so much?"
