Irresponsible breeding kills pit bull mom and puppies
ath of a female pit bull and 6 of her puppies. we're told the mother was over bred. shortly after giving birth...she died and so did most of her litter. but today we caught up with two puppies that survived and are now looking for a good home. but there's something quite unusual about them. joe vigil is here with more. puppies typically are adopted pretty quickly. but it's been tough finding these guys a home because the people caring for them want them to stay together for an interesting reason. theyook like your run of the mill pit bull puppies just playing around. but ray charles is not like etta jes. "Oops." if you haven't guessed by now--ray charles--is completely blind. he bumps into backyard obstacles.... knocks over his doggy bowl because he can't see it. and don't tell our boss but he didn't see our camera either. if look closely... you can see ray kind of prances. he basically lifts his legs to GUIDE HIMSELF. "When he walks he does a high step to make sure he's not going to run into anything." but it turns out ray also relies on ettto help him through the DAY. "When he first came to this yard he got himself stuck over there and he just stood there kind of this whimpery cry. And Etta went and got him and led him down the steps. . and etta also helps by simply BEING A FRIEND. "Etta gives Ray security and she looks out for him." previtt says ray was once separated from etta for about a week. "He was very sad when he wasn't with Etta. And that's when we realized they needed to be adopted together." so that's what previtt is now asking. for someone to step up and take both dogs. one puppy can certainly be a challenge let alone two..and then throw in ray's eye trouble. but previtt just doesn't see it any other way right now. she really wants the puppies to stay together. "Ray is very dependent on Etta and it would be a real shame to separate the two.
