Protesters took to the street of Paris on Saturday to demonstrate against job cuts and layoffs after unions called for the gathering.
The group of demonstrators marched through the streets of the French capital holding banners and signs denouncing the employment situation in the country which has worsened due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Several trade unions including the CGT and the Union Syndicale Solidaires took part in the march.
The protesters were due to be joined by activists protesting against the so-called 'Global Security Bill.'
The procession which began near the National Assembly in Paris later continued towards the Medef headquarters, the largest federation of business leaders and employers in France.
