Director’s Message: Addressing financial discrimination & racial equity — consumerfinance.gov
Our nation is in the midst of a long overdue conversation about race – and at the CFPB, we understand that far too many families have experienced financial discrimination due to their racial, religious or ethnic identity.
We continue to be committed to working hard to protect all consumers from discrimination. We will take action against institutions and individuals whose policies and practices prevent fair and equal access to credit or take advantage of underserved communities.
If you believe you have experienced discrimination with a financial product or service, you can submit a complaint to the CFPB at http://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), is a U.S. government agency that makes sure banks, lenders, and other financial companies treat you fairly. Learn how the CFPB can help you at https://www.consumerfinance.gov/about-us/
