With stay-at-home orders increasing, students taking classes online and employees working remotely, Americans are using the internet at record levels. In addition to students and remote workers, broadband networks are helping people bridge the physical distancing necessary to combat the spread of COVID-19. However, not all Americans have access to the internet from their homes or do not have access to high-speed internet options. Our NCSL experts will provide an update on the recent federal stimulus packages that appropriate funds for broadband access and technology, state challenges and solutions and industry responses to help keep Americans connected.
