Co-organised UEG Webinar Recording | Understanding the Human Microbiome: Obesity & liver disease
On February 16, we co-hosted, together with Sarah Wiener, member of the European Parliament for the Greens/EFA, the webinar "Understanding the Human Microbiome: The link to obesity and liver disease". The event was addressed to policy makers and the greater public and delved into current topics, such as the use of microbiome data for improved nutrition and disease prevention, with the aim of making the case for improved food policy in the EU.
Such activities are part of a broader action of UEG, aimed at establishing contacts with health stakeholders in Europe and working together on delivering positive change at policy level.
Speakers:
• Prof. Eran Segal, Principal Investigator at SegalLab, Weizmann Institute, Israel
• Floriana Cimmarusti, Secretary General, Safe Food Advocacy Europe (SAFE)
