Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Center at Jersey Shore University Medical Center
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Over time, patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis may find it increasingly difficult to control their muscles, making it hard to eventually speak, eat, move and breathe.
Lana, of Toms River, shares her story about how ALS has changed her life. Lana started going to Dr. Sedarous once she was diagnosed with ALS and loves that the Center at Jersey Shore is close to home and provides her with multidisciplinary care.
